Prophetic Politics is edited by Dr. Reza Pankhurst, a writer, academic, and political thinker whose work focuses on Islamic political thought, the Caliphate, and movements seeking Islamic revival in the modern era. This platform serves as a space for reflections, articles, essays, and commentary rooted in a desire to engage with the pressing political and intellectual challenges facing the Muslim Ummah today — through the lens of normative Islam and its prophetic political tradition.
Reza’s writings explore themes such as the legitimacy of the Islamic Caliphate, the failures of the post-colonial nation-state system in the Muslim world, and the political legacy of Islamic movements past and present. Drawing on both academic research and activist insight, Prophetic Politics offers in-depth engagement with the realities confronting Muslims globally — grounded in the belief that the Islamic political model articulated by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ remains not only relevant, but necessary.
